Chateau Granges Dans was built on 15th century ruins, and was completely renovated in 2011. The castle is available for rent year round, and can accommodate up to 16 guests in its luxurious surroundings.

The Chateau is positioned on a hill and overlooks farmland, forests and walnut trees. This beautiful castle is situated in the Dordogne, close to the famous Château de Hautefort in the Périgord Noir.

A day in Chateau Granges Dans begins with breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the valley with walnut trees. On a hot summer day, you can relax in a hammock and read, or explore the fully fenced park with rare, century-old trees. When you have finished, relax by the sheltered swimming pool, which offers a well-deserved break from the heat. In the evening you can enjoy the culinary gems of the region, which are readily available at the many charming local markets, these include truffles, duck, foie gras, beef, walnuts, mushrooms and fine wines.

Whether you are looking for a special and luxurious holiday rental for your family or a group of friends, a “pied à terre” to explore the region, a quiet place to re-energise, or a unique location for a special event, Chateau Granges Dans is the ideal holiday retreat.

Chateau Granges Dans
Chateau Granges Dans has been sympathetically renovated, to ensure the house keeps many of its original features. There are century-old oak wooden floors, chimneys with majestic mirrors, and fine handcrafted moulures and woodwork. At the same time all modern comforts have been integrated seamlessly, with each room having its own unique en suite bathroom.

On the ground floor guests will be delighted to find two spacious living rooms. The large living room, decorated with fine woodwork, a cosy fireplace and century-old oak floors, opens onto the terrace through two double doors. The small living room, also called the “fumerie” has been refurbished to become a cosy reading corner.

The dining room, with wooden panelling, gives a flavour of the old “grandeur” of the castle, the massive oak floors, the old “perigourdienne” buffet and the fireplace make every dinner an experience to never forget.

The kitchen, with its authentic perigourdien stone floor, houses a hyper-modern kitchen island with 2 induction hobs, a professional washing machine and refrigerator.

The media room has everything for the modern family including a flat screen TV, DVD player and internet connection.

The Bedrooms
There are six bedrooms with bathroom and toilet, all of which can be found on the first floor. On the second floor, there are two attic rooms below the amazing wooden beams, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Room 1 has a view over the courtyard, a dressing room, and a bathroom with toilet and shower.
Room 2 overlooks the valley, and has a dressing room, and bathroom with toilet and shower.
Room 3 overlooks over the valley, and has a bathroom with toilet and bath.
Room 4 is a large suite measuring more than 50 sqm, it has a view over the courtyard, a bathroom with toilet and shower, a fireplace and small lounge.
Room 5 has nice views over the valley and the castle’s park. It has a fireplace and a bathroom with toilet and shower.
Room 6 is oriented south to the park, it has a dressing room and bathroom with bath and separate toilet.
Rooms 7 & 8 are the tower rooms, full of charm. They have fantastic century-old wooden beams, and a bathroom with shower and toilet.

The Chateau sits in 6 hectares of beautiful parkland which guests are welcome to explore. There is a patio with plenty of space for your group to dine al fresco, and a large swimming pool where visitors can cool off on a hot summer day.
