This luxury retreat is set along a long private country drive, surrounded on all sides by meadows, cornfields and the occasional grazing cattle. Forming the centre of a courtyard of ancient barns and encircled by gardens and shrubs, Manoir de Trebuchet gives a warm welcome, peace and tranquility to all who visit

Relax in your private heated pool with large sunbathing terraces. The house and range of barns are in 32 acres of meadows, woodland and gardens - all waiting for you to explore - making the Manoir a beautiful private rural getaway.

The Manoir de Trebuchet is a true nature lovers dream with herds of visiting red deer, barn owls, hummingbirds, birds of prey, rare butterflies, bullfrogs, foxes, badgers, wild boar and so much more. We keep a wildlife book where guests record their sightings. Our nearest neighbour is over a mile distant and the whole property is truly ’yours’ for your time with us.

If you love nature, peace and seclusion, this is definitely the place for you!


Manoir de Trebuchet
Manoir de Trebuchet sleeps 8 comfortably.

The living room and dining room are combined into a spacious area in which you can relax with plenty of comfortable seating. The large dining table easily accommodates eight. Tastefully decorated in a neutral palette, the room has a calming atmosphere, the perfect spot to unwind. A fully equipped, farmhouse kitchen has everything you need to prepare a family meal.

Elderly or infirm guests will appreciate the downstairs bedroom, with a separate downstairs toiler and walk-in shower.

Upstairs there is a reading area for those who treasure quiet moments, a mezzanine bedroom with magnifcent four poster bed and two further bedrooms. Also on this floor is a bathroom and toilet.


Outside Grounds
Set in 32 acres of woodland, meadows and gardens, there is complete privacy for you and your family.

We take great pride in our heated pool located perfectly to the side of the main house. Enjoy the space of the large terrace around the pool area, affording plenty of room for sunbathing and relaxing. Guest can take advantage of the comfortable pool side sun lounge chairs. The pool is maintained each week to a high standard.

Surrounded by a natural stone walls on 3 sides and security fenced on the fourth, the pool area is enclosed for your peace of mind especially with children. Each guest is given keys to the security gates.

The gardens are colourful and casual with tulips, wild narcissi, cosmos, roses, lilies, camellias, lavender and lilacs which fill the garden with a beautiful scent.

Eating outside during the day is a must. There is a purpose built BBQ, outside tables and chairs tucked under the shade of the sumach trees.

Area description

Manoir de Trebuchet is set in a truly delightful area in Central France close to the border of The Vienne.

From Medieval towns, to beautiful villages tumbling into local rivers, local markets full of fresh produce, Chateaux, Cathedrals and so much more, there really is something for everyone!

The outstanding countryside is completely unspoilt, with a beautiful mix of wild flowers and unusual vegetation. Roaming herds of deer are common, as are wild boar - but these can prove a little harder to spot!

There is a diverse selection of local hotels, small town bars, cafes and markets in the local towns and villages. St. Savin, Nalliers, Montmorillon and Angles Sur L'Anglin are all nearby.

Montmorillon
Approximately 10 miles distant is a beautiful Medieval town set on the banks of the river with an excellent twice weekly local market, ancient buildings, restaurants, cafes, bars, banks and supermarkets.

Angles Sur L'Anglin
The award winning 'Fleuri Village de France' of Angles Sur L'Anglin is a must to see with its beautiful cobbled streets, antique shops, the towering castle ruins, prehistoric caves, friendly restaurants with superb views across the river, and so much more.

Weekly rentals only.

Security deposit £200. The security deposit is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.

It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.

Maximum Occupancy
The number of people staying at the property must not exceed those on your booking form.

Swimming Pool
Use of the pool is entirely at the Hirer’s own risk and should remain locked at all times unless an adult is present. Covers to be replaced at night. From time to time, general maintenance may be necessary. Under no circumstances should any equipment/pumps/heaters etc be touched. If you suspect a problem with the pool, please contact our Maintenance person named in the house book immediately.

Keys
A set of keys will be provided on arrival. House to be locked when guests are not at the property and returned as requested at the end of the stay. Keys are provided for upstairs windows. Please keep locked at all times when young children are present.

Breakages
Any breakages should be reported and we reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage.

Use
The use of accommodation and amenities is entirely at the Hirer’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the Hirer or the Hirer’s companions or guests.
